Lunch & Learn: Navigating Online Filing: EOIR Courts & Appeals System (ECAS)

Lunch & Learn for Pro Bono Attorneys: Navigating Online Filing: EOIR Courts & Appeals System (ECAS)

Date/Time: April 24, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.

Format: Virtual

The immigration courts and Board of Immigration Appeals have been phasing out paper filing since 2018. Today, almost all of our client's cases are retained electronically by EOIR - the Executive Office for Immigration Review - which comprises the immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals.

In this training, we will discuss how to register for an ECAS account, how to navigate the ECAS system, how to file case-related documents, and how to troubleshoot common issues. We will also briefly discuss other immigration-related online platforms, like the ICE ERO eFile system.

We are immigration attorneys, not IT specialists! This is an introductory, non-technical training for attorneys and their teams navigating these online filing systems for the first time.
